Jolly Goodfellows - Birding

The Safaris

Travel in air-conditioned comfort in diesel 4WD vehicles. These vehicles have the use of a GPS which makes navigation simple and accurate, and it also guides us to the best locations to see the species of birds that we're looking for. If numbers warrant more than one vehicle, then all drivers are in constant contact with UHF radio communications.

We have several different birding safaris, ranging from two-day safaris to 6-day / 5-night excursions.

All our tours are fully accommodated and fully catered, and Morning tea is provided on all of the trips, and a light lunch is also provided each day.

We can supply Motel/B&B or budget accommodation on the night prior to leaving on the overnight tours, and our camps are at disused shearers' quarters at Calperum Station, Oak Bore Outstation, Danggali Conservation Park and Chowilla Station.

The new boardwalk and bird hides at Banrock Station, Wine and Wetland Centre, are featured at the beginning of our 2-day to 6-day safaris, if requested, and a visit to Gluepot can also be included.

Our overnight accommodation on our safaris is at disused shearers' quarters at Oak Bore, Calperum Station, Chowilla station and Canopus Station on Danggali.

We can tailor make safaris to customer requirements, incorporating overnight accommodation at any of these sites so that we cover all the best habitats.

Not only will you be treated to some of the best birding in this State, but there is no pressure and time is not an enemy.

The safaris can be very lay-back and relaxed and guests may set their own pace.

Along the route we have many stops to sit and relax, spot many bird species and generally enjoy the atmosphere and ambience of the bush.
